Privacy Policy
This policy explains the public music website and the privately operated LinuxNerd Music Studio app in Hench. The connected tools are used by authorised adult studio operators.
1. Visiting this website
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. It contains music information, artwork, policy pages and links to external services. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, forms, account sign-in or embedded social players.
Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the site under its Privacy Policy. Cloudflare’s own security functions may use cookies or similar mechanisms. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own policies.
This public site does not receive the private Hench dashboard’s data, Google or Metricool tokens, or uploaded song files.
2. Data the studio app accesses
With an operator’s authorisation, the app uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API.
- Channel and video information: channel IDs and names; video IDs, titles, publication metadata and links; and playlist or upload information needed for an approved publishing task.
- Performance: available channel or video view counts, subscribers, watch time, likes, comment counts, shares and dated or period-based statistics. Unavailable figures are not treated as zero.
- Publishing inputs: media, titles, descriptions, artwork, audience and visibility settings provided for an approved upload or edit.
- Connection credentials: OAuth authorisations, including refresh tokens used to maintain an approved connection. Google handles sign-in; the app does not collect a Google password.
The reporting connection requests read-only YouTube and YouTube Analytics access. Publishing uses a separate connection with management permission. Reporting does not request access to Gmail, contacts, payments or YouTube revenue. It does not retrieve private viewer identities or comment text.
For Instagram and TikTok, the studio’s Metricool connection supplies account identity, available metrics, post IDs, links, captions and performance counters. Metricool processes connected account data under its Privacy Policy.
3. Why data is used and who processes it
Connected data is used to identify the correct studio account, carry out an operator-approved YouTube release task, display performance reports, compare labelled reporting periods and suggest content experiments.
Google processes YouTube requests and authorised uploads under the Google Privacy Policy. Metricool supplies Instagram and TikTok analytics. The authorised Codex/OpenAI assistant processes Metricool tool responses to support report collection and can review reports when directed by the operator. Relevant processing is subject to the operator’s service settings and the OpenAI Privacy Policy.
The public website does not expose these private reports. Reports are available to the authorising studio operator and assistants the operator authorises. We do not sell connected account data or use it for advertising or audience profiling.
Use and transfer of Google API data are limited to the disclosed studio features and are subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google API data must not be used to train general-purpose AI models.
4. Storage, retention and deletion
Connection credentials and performance reports are stored in the operator-managed Hench environment, with restricted local file permissions and an authenticated dashboard. Access tokens used for YouTube reporting are refreshed in memory. The latest report is replaced during a successful collection, and dated metric snapshots are kept as reporting history.
There is currently no automatic expiry for that local history. The operator controls its retention and must remove data that is no longer needed, or that must be deleted under a platform’s requirements. Local or NAS backup copies, if made, require separate handling; revoking a connection does not instantly erase those files.
To request deletion, contact linuxnerdmusicstudio@gmail.com and identify the connected channel or social account. Do not send passwords or tokens. The operator verifies the request and removes the associated stored credentials and reports, including relevant operator-controlled copies.
You can revoke Google access at any time in Google Account connections. This prevents future authorised access; it does not by itself delete reports already stored locally. Instagram and TikTok access can be managed through Metricool and the platforms’ own connected-app settings.
5. Children and music rights
The studio’s connected tools are for authorised adults, including adults managing a children’s music channel. We do not ask children to sign in or provide personal information through this site or the studio’s account connections. Questions about artwork, credits or music permissions can be sent to the contact below.
6. Contact and changes
Privacy contact: linuxnerdmusicstudio@gmail.com.
We update this page when these practices change. Material changes to connected-data use require appropriate notice and renewed consent before that new use begins.
